This peach dump cake is warm, buttery, gooey, and packed with sweet juicy peaches under a crisp golden topping. I've found browning the butter takes this recipe from a basic dump cake to something that tastes much richer and more bakery-style with almost no extra effort. As the peaches bake, they turn soft and jammy underneath the buttery cake mix topping while the sliced almonds add the best little crunch on top.

"Super tasty and simple recipe. My 7 YO made it nearly all by herself; it really built her kitchen confidence! We are a family that enjoys a fruit cobbler or crumble and I think next time we'll double the peaches for even more juicy bits. Thanks!"

I am always on the hunt for a new delicious dessert, preferably one served warm with ice cream. Because ice cream makes everything better am I right? Peaches seem to be everywhere right now and so I knew I had to make a peach flavor. And I love a recipe with a cake mix, a quick and easy shortcut, don't miss my cake mix banana bread recipe.
When testing this recipe I found that browning the butter instead of just melting it and adding vanilla extract really amped up the flavor. But seriously those steps take all of 5 minutes more, and in my opinion that 5 minutes makes all the difference. I prefer to use the peaches in their natural juice, opposed to peaches in heavy syrup but if you wanted a very sweet layer of fruit then use the syrup.

You betrayed me. Your lies made a disgusting goop.

Hi Matt, the texture is going to be affected by which brand of peaches you use, and do keep in mind this is a dump cake so it is going to be a liquid, sweet kind of goopey texture underneath the topping. Sorry, you didn't enjoy it. XX Liz

I'm so glad that Matt made his comment. I thought that I was doing something wrong. It's suppose to be kind of goopey underneath the topping. Thanks.
