oreo dip served with strawberries on a white plate on a light surface with a multi colored linen

Everyone loves Oreos, and this is a delicious Oreo dip recipe! Made with Oreo pieces, whipped cream, and cream cheese mixed together, it's the perfect sweet treat. Serve it with lots of strawberries.

I knew that when I developed this recipe the kids would love it, but what I did not expect was it to be inhaled within the hour. This dip is sweet but not too sweet, it's creamy, and if you add those extra Oreos on top you get that crunchy texture too. We loved it with juicy strawberries but tart green apples are delicious too and if you are feeling really indulgent use some Oreos to dip!

    Ingredients

For this sweet cookies and cream dip you'll need:

    • Heavy Whipping Cream. While a lot of dessert dips call for a tub of Cool Whip whipped topping but I prefer to make my own whipped cream.
    • Confectioner's Sugar. This sugar helps sweeten the whipped cream and the dip.
    • Dry Milk Powder. I love this trick of adding dry milk powder when whipping cream, it helps create a stabilized whipped cream.
    • Vanilla Extract. The vanilla gives a great flavor to enhance the cookies and cream dip.
    • Cream Cheese. The cream cheese helps thicken the sweet dip and gives it a deliciously tangy, creamy flavor that pairs beautifully with the Oreos. Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature so it mixes into a smooth mixture with no lumps.
    • Oreo Cookies. I prefer to use crushed Oreos, but not finely crushed Oreos. I like to have the chunks and then once the dip is spread into the serving dish I add more Oreos on top.

Our favorite dippers are fresh strawberries, green apple slices, and more Oreo cookies are all perfect to dip into this creamy dip. Try pretzels, graham crackers, or vanilla wafers.

Adding a scoop of creamy peanut butter to the cream cheese mixture would be delicious too. Or use some Mint Oreos for a minty creamy dip!

Place Oreos in a plastic bag or Stasher bag and use a rolling pin to crush the Oreos into smaller pieces. Then gently fold it into the cream mixture. Use a rubber spatula to ensure everything is evenly combined.

Pour the dip into the serving dish and top with more crushed Oreos if desired.

Serve with strawberries or sliced apples.  Store leftovers in the fridge, the dip is good for up to 3 days if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, keeping in mind the Oreos pieces will soften. You're gonna love this creamy Oreo dip.
