Want perfectly flaky, melt-in-your-mouth salmon with minimal effort? This oven-baked salmon recipe delivers—just season fillets with olive or avocado oil, salt, and pepper, then bake at 415°F until tender and juicy. No grill—just a foil-covered rest to lock in the flavor. Ready in under 25 minutes for an easy winner weeknight dinner.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Salmon Filets (6oz-8oz)
  • 1/4-1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4-1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Avocado Oil or Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 415F/213C.
  2. Place salmon skin-side down on a very lightly oiled baking tray. Very lightly spray a tiny bit of oil on top of the salmon and sprinkle salt and pepper all over the filet.
  3. Bake for 15-22 minutes depending on the size of your filet, salmon needs to be baked to a minimum internal temperature of 145F/63C. The salmon will be lighter in color and flake easily when using a fork.
  4. Take out of the oven and cover with a piece of foil for 5-10 minutes to rest. Serve with desired side dishes. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
