This Chocolate Dump Cake is the ultimate easy dessert for chocoholics. You simply mix melted butter with dry chocolate cake and pudding mixes right in your pan, pour in milk, then top with chocolate chips. As it bakes, the pudding layer turns gooey like marshmallow and the cake layer gets chewy and slightly crisp. Serve it warm with a scoop of your favorite ice cream for maximum indulgence.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 Servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 Tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 15.25oz Box Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 3.4oz Box Instant Chocolate Pudding
  • 10oz (1 1/4 Cup) Whole Milk
  • 1/2 - 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F/180C and grease a 9" X 13" pan with non-stick baking spray.
  2. Add the chocolate cake mix and melted butter to the pan and stir together until combined.
  3. Sprinkle the chocolate pudding mix all over the top in an even layer. Pour milk all over, again in the best even layer that you can do. Then sprinkle chocolate chips on top, one cup is quite indulgent but delicious!
  4. Bake for 33-38 minutes, the top should look set, if it jiggles slightly that is okay. Best served warm with ice cream.
