French Apple Cake

Step 1

In a new large bowl whisk together the granulated sugar, whole milk, cooled melted butter, eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.

Mix Wet Ingredients 

Add the flour mixture to the wet and gently fold until just combined.

Add the Flour

Step 2

Add all of the apples to the cake batter and gently fold until combined.

Add the Apples to the Batter

Step 3

Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the top with coarse sugar.
